Evan's blessing

We blessed Evan today! As parents, we feel so lucky to have strong, healthy and good-natured Evan in our lives.

Bar Miztvah Dance

Jack and Lucy get down to some accordion sounds.

I hope this works. We thought that we should post a cute video since everyone else has. This is a video from Jack's bar mitzvah.

And the two together

My two little pride and joys.

Evan at 2 months

Not so little Evan turned 2 months today. Amid the excitement of Asia getting glasses, I managed to snap a couple shots of him today too.

Asia gets glasses!

We found out this week that Asia is long-sighted and needs glasses. Over the last few months she has had sties on her eyes that have been coming and going. The pediatrician said that sometimes kids get sties from eye strain when their vision is bad. So she referred us to an ophthalmologist. Thanks to an episode of Blue's Clues where the doggie Magenta gets glasses from the eye doctor, Asia was very cooperative and sweet during the appointment. She was even excited to go choose her glasses. We picked them up today and the lenses must be making a difference because so far she has been happy to keep them on. So here are pics of Asia before and after glasses.

Priceless

I've been thinking a lot lately of how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to live in Ben's childhood home-in particular because it's given me a chance to learn so much about Diane. Every now and then something in the house triggers Ben's memory and he'll share a funny or touching memory of his mom. I feel very lucky.

Last night I received a different type of flash from the past that I am equally grateful for (mostly because I haven't laughed so hard in years and my belly needed a good work out). We decided to pull out some old family videos. I feel that I owe the entire family a big thank you for documenting such priceless family history. A few gems:

*Bob's amazing basketball defense against the ward 10-year-olds at Duane and Sharon's wedding reception. *John's beautiful leather cowboy boots with fringe. *Maren calling the telephone Angie. *Sam's blue paisley sweater that must have cost-ed a lot. *Tom competing for the very respectable title of Mr. Timp. *Katie, Tom, and Josh's MARVELOUS acting skills in the 1997 version of Edgemont History.

This family is absolutely wonderful!

Natalia's Solo again on YouTube

OK everyone

Here is the link to Natalia's solo.
I hope you enjoy it almost as much as I did. If you enjoyed it as much as I did your maternal instinct is overflowing. Noone can enjoy this more than a mother, OK maybe a father, and maybe grandma, and grandpa....
