Flying Blob

Ok Tom, I'll tell the people what they want to hear.
Well my flight plans right now are up in the air right
now. I'm just keeping my radar on to see what my
options are, feeling out the industry. My head is
still in the clouds from our recent marriage and I'm
just now starting to get my feet planted on the
ground.

Alright, thanks for putting up with the puns, that was
an opportunity I just couldn't pass up. I actually
get this question all the time, so I have come up with
a condensed answer because people really only care to
listen for about 30 seconds. Right now I'm a couple
months away from getting my Certified Flight
Instructors (CFI) certificate. That is if all goes
well and I study harder than I've ever done, and pass
the written test and the gruelling 8 hour checkride.
So after I have my CFI I hopefully will get hired by
UVSC to instruct so that I can build hours (airlines
don't start hiring until about 1,000 hrs and I have
about 300 hrs.), learn a lot from teaching, and make a
great resume. That whole plan will take a little over
1 year. Well as we all know now I am a married woman
and can think about having babies. I don't know what
the Lord has in store for Cory and me, but I don't
really see myself going to the airlines. I would like
to fly locally but I don't know yet what's available.
I only have life planned about a year out and a lot
can happen in a year. P.S. I hope to graduate in
Spring 2008.

Thanks for listening, I hope that answered in kind of
in a roundabout way that I have no idea what I'm doing
with my flying career. How about we put the family
fund to good use and buy the family a Lear Jet? I know
a top notch pilot who will fly that puppy for free!

I love you all,
Love, Lucy

You plan a year out! That's amazing. I am still trying to figure out what pants I am going to wear today. You are an inspiration loogerdawg.
