Our April
April brought us a relaxing Easter week-end at my parents' chalet in Ovronnaz, Switzerland. After overheating ourselves at the thermal baths, we discovered this recreation area called "The Hill of the Birds." Instead of the peaceful nature reserve we thought it would be, it was a child-at-heart grown-up's backyard (Tom calls it a Swiss hick's junkyard). There were playground toys everywhere, some precariously repaired with rusty nails sticking out. There was also a stocked cement fishpond, some stray cats, vintage arcade games, beach umbrellas, and accordeon music blasting through the speakers. Needless to say, Asia and Evan were in heaven.
Us, a little confused at first.
Yes, that is a slide made out of half a PVC pipe.

We made butterflies one day with Lisa (whose current art obsession is butterflies).
At a field of tulips that you can cut yourself to take home.
Lucky for us, April also brought Josh and Annie, and their friends Jordan and Melissa, to Europe! We met them in Paris, then went to Venice with them, and then they came to Geneva.
